July 4th Book Sale – Call for Donations & Volunteers

Our Annual July 4th Book Sale is fast approaching. It is time to search your shelves for books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs that you are ready to donate to support your local library. Drop off your donations at the Ashland Library during regular library hours. Storage space is tight, so please bring only clean, gently used items, no textbooks or encyclopedias. (Please read our guidelines.) The limit is 2 boxes or bags per family per day. Thank You!

Volunteers are needed to help out at our Annual July 4th Book Sale. We need volunteers on Wed., July 3, from 2-4pm to help move books from storage to the library and set up the sale. On Thurs., July 4, we need volunteers for the second and third shifts and for packing up remainders. We need help from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm; 12:30 – 2:30 pm at the sale and from 2 – 3 pm for packing and moving books from the Ashland Library to our storage locker. For set up on July 3 and last shift on July 4, we especially need people that can lift and move boxes of books. Please fill out our Contact Form if you want to help out at the sale. Thank You!

The Friends of the Library biggest annual event is our July 4th Book Sale.  We will hold our book sale at the Ashland Library during Ashland’s 4th of July celebration. The sale includes a wide variety of hardback and paperback books, CD’s, DVD’s, Audio Books and VHS videos.  All proceeds go to support and to meet needs at the Ashland Library.
