Friends of the Ashland Library Yearly Events – click on the links for details. These events are announced and publicized on the Programs & Events page of this website, on our Facebook page, on posters and flyers at the Ashland Library and in local businesses.

NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 related closure of the Ashland Branch of the Pamunkey Regional Library, the annual July 4th Book Sale has been cancelled for 2020. Check back later or watch for announcements on Facebook regarding Train Day and a possible book sale event later this year. 

July 4th Book Sale – Held on July 4th as part of the town’s 4th of July Celebration. Location: Multipurpose room of the Ashland Library.

Train Day – Held on the 1st Saturday in November. The Friends participate in the town-wide Train Day celebration by sponsoring special programs at the library. We also have a booth outside the library where free cookies and cider are distributed.

Annual Meeting – Date varies. The Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Ashland Library is open to all. New Advisory Board Officers are elected and the year’s highlights are reviewed. Location: Multipurpose room of the Ashland Library.
