The Friends of the Ashland Library maintains a continuous book sale at the Ashland Branch Library. You will find bargain fiction and non-fiction, audio books, and videos in the area around the copy machine and sometimes in the entrance hallway of the library. You can donate your gently used, unwanted books, audio books and videos to the Friends at the library circulation desk for the on-going sale. Proceeds from the sale are used to fund some of the library’s programs and sponsor special events. Please do not donate encyclopedia sets, Reader’s Digest, or textbooks over 5 years old. (Those items can be taken to Goodwill or to the book exchange closet at the Lewistown transfer station.)
Donations being accepted NOW for our big July 4th Book Sale. Bring your unwanted books, CDs, DVDs and tapes to the library circulation desk. Mark your calendar to come by and find new treasures.
Join your neighbors for a celebration of the Town’s railroad heritage! At the Ashland Library, patrons have enjoyed free cookies and cider, children’s train rides, children’s activities, traditional train and hobo songs, and train memorabilia and history at past Train Day events. Watch local media for announcements about the next Train Day event.
