The Advisory Board of the Friends of the Ashland Library works with the Ashland Branch and Pamunkey Regional Library staff to determine library needs that cannot be funded under the current budget. We support special programs and events for children, teens and adults on an on-going basis.  Past one-time contributions have included new shelving, chairs and window shades.  We also contributed major funding to renovate the multipurpose room, entry hallway and bathrooms, and to add outdoor lighting and exterior signage.

The Advisory Board is the decision-making body that determines which purchases the Friends will make for the library. Besides serving as the Friends’ fiscal agents, the Board members plan programs, coordinate book sales and other fund-raising events, and help out at many library functions.

The Friends of the Ashland Library is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Financial information is available on request.
